The dogs are individual judged. Everydog are compared to the standard and given a quality-prize according to the judge opinion on how well the dog fit the standard.
All dogs entered the show will get a written report.
The dogs are competing in classes, first dogs, then bitches.
Baby 3-6 month
Puppy 6-9 month
Champion Champions
Youth 9-18 month
Intermidiate 15-24 month
Open over 18 month
Seniores 7-10 years
Veterans over 10 years
Only dogs entered in Youth, Intermedia and Open class are competing for the CC.
There are 5 different prices, each price is awarded with a coloured silk-ribbon.
The colour correspond the price.
1st price, the dog is an excellent representative for the breed red ribbon rod.jpg (2469 bytes)
2nd price, the dog is still a good representative for the breed, but has minor flaws blue ribbon blaa.jpg (2933 bytes)
3rd price, still a fair representative, but has more severe faults. yellow ribbon gul.jpg (2442 bytes)
0, zero price, the dog has disqualifying faults according to the standard no ribbon
KIB, "Can not be judged", due to the dog is limping, can't be touched or of any other reason unable to be judged no ribbon

After this quality-judgment, all dogs awarded 1st price in the class; red ribbon, are competing against each other to find the # 1,2,3&4.
Each are awarded yet another silk-ribbon coloured 1:red, 2:blue, 3:yellow, 4: green
If the judge finds the quality high enough, then he can award as many dogs a he finds worthy the CC-reserve. The CC-reserve is a broad lilac ribbon

 

When all the males / females has been judged, the # 1,2,3 & 4 are found between dogs awarded CC-reserve from the Youth, Intermediate, Open and Champion classes.
The highest placed dog/female who is not champion is awarded CC, a red/white stiped ribbon.
No. 1 is "Best Male" / "Best Female"
At international shows Best Male and Best female are awarded CACIB for the international championate. CACIB is a white ribbon
At club specialty shows, best champion is awarded Club Certificate - if not already Club Champion

At last Best Male are competing against Best Female to place Best of Breed & Best of Opposite.
BOB get's a red/yellow ribbon, BOS a blue.

After this the Senior and veterans are judged the same way, and the best senior /veteran are found.

To become national champion, an dog/female need to acheive at least 3 CC's given by 3 different judges.
The 1st can first be given after the dog has reached 9 month, and the last must be obtained after 18 month of age.
To become International Champion, the dog/female must obtain 4 CACIBS whereof 3 must be from 3 different countries under 3 different judges, and one must be obtained in the owners resident country OR from the breeds originate country. And there must lapse at least 366 days from the 1st to the last CACIB.
To become club champion the dog/female must obtain 4 club certificates obtained from the Champion-class
